CONGRATULATIONS to Alve-church Darts for winning the Division One title.
They were crowned champions after beating Rubery Redstar 4-2, with the goals coming from Melusi Cartwright (two), Phil Hinks and John Brown. Redstar replied through Glen Andrews and Christian Townsend.
Rubery Social drew 1-1 with Winyates Athletic, Mark Hicks and Steve King the respective scorers.
Droitwich Red Lion earnt 3-0 and 1-0 victories over Winyates to save themselves from relegation.
Chris Benton and Steve Weston earned recalls to the Lion line-up as they pressed for an early goal. They got their reward when Wayne Morse drove home his 25th of the season.
They added to their lead shortly afterwards with a goal of the season contender from Steve Barratt.
Ian Bowman's cross from the bye line was met by a vicious Barratt volley which nearly broke the net from the edge of the box. Richard Crumpler wrapped up victory in the second half with a fine solo effort.
In the second game, the Lion made various changes to the side which saw a rare outing for 58-year-old Mike Perry, who combined with his son Reggie to set up that man Crumpler again to clinch the points.
