MOORLANDS Fishery is one of 11 venues to host the regional stages of the Rodders 2 Day £40K Challenge.

Anglers can fish a one-day first round and try to claim the big catch that will take them through to the final at Moorlands on September 15.

Points are calculated as a percentage of the total day's catch in the competition, eliminating concerns over environmental conditions like fish stocking levels or the weather.

It has been organised by angling website rodsandsods.com and offers a £40,000 first prize.

The grand final will also feature a fair where tackle manufacturers and retailers can show their wares.

There will also be a £1,000 Land a Grand match at Moorlands.

More details are available from rodsandsods.com general manager Lyndon Griffiths on 01562 863333 and at the website.
