PLANS to cut the speed limit through a village near Droitwich Spa are moving forward.
Wychavon Highways Partnership Unit has proposed the speed limit through Cutnall Green should be cut from 50mph to 40mph.
Details of the proposal have been posted around the area and one objection has been raised.
The resident believed the limit should be slashed to 30mph.
The highways group must now inform West Mercia Constabulary Chief Constable Peter Hampson about the objection and wait for his comments.
Once the comments are received, reports will go to the ward's Worcestershire county councillor and Wychavon district councillor.
Highways partnership unit manager Geoff Cox said: "The objection will slightly slow down the process of getting the speed limit changed but it is very important to consider public concerns."
The highways partnership will make the final decision.
