BIDDERS will have chequebooks at the ready when a series of men go under the hammer tonight.
The charity auction at Chicago Rock Caf, New Street, Worcester, is in aid of Evening News reporter Alison Fraser's trek to Iceland raising money for Arthritis Research Campaign.
Evening News editor Stewart Gilbert will be among several men promising to give up two hours of their time.
General Election candidates Richard Adams and Mike Foster are also under offer, as well as Worcester City Councillor Colin Bruton.
And Hereford and Worcester Fire Brigade's Green Watch will be at the ready, in case things become heated.
A fire engine will be outside Chicago Rock from 7.15pm for an hour, supporting firefighter Warren King, who'll be the first to be auctioned.
Other men available include Worcestershire's director of education, Julien Kramer, who is offering English tuition or a meal for two, Jason Biddle, the sous chef at Worcester Rugby Club, and Chicago Rock manager Chris Beasley.
Doors open at 7pm and the auction will start at 7.30pm.
