Education, Education, Education - that was Tony Blair's main promise to this country and to Redditch at the last General Election.
We moved to Redditch with our two teenage children at the beginning of 2000 and bought a home, along with many other people, on the new Brockhill Estate.
Just down the road from us is Bridley Moor High School, which is about to be closed.
What a great shame for Redditch and the community of Batchley.
Let me tell you it was the school that we had chosen for our children to go to.
I firmly believe that the Redditch Review has been badly handled and the Labour council has let many children down.
There are communities that have been decimated and schools closed that should not have been.
Labour funding means that Redditch children receive hundreds of pounds less than children educated in Birmingham. Is that fair?
I want a national funding formula for children where each child will receive a basic amount. That is fair funding for education.
I know that children only get one chance at a good education and they deserve the very best we can give them.
