A SPATE of vandalism in Church Hill, Winyates and Matchborough over the weekend has prompted police to appeal for help from residents.
Windows have been smashed, fences broken and paint sprayed on cars and police said damage in the area had escalated.
They are appealing for anybody who saw damage being caused to call them.
Sgt Neil Billingham, of the north east sector, said: "Although we're pleased there are very few burglaries and there has been a cut in auto crime, there seems to have been an increase in minor criminal damage, particularly over the weekend."
Anyone with information can call 584888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
