CLLR Richard Morris - and no doubt his colleagues on Droitwich Spa Town Council - must feel a sense of keen frustration about the lack of interest displayed by the general public in the town's affairs.
He's absolutely right to try to persuade people to attend meetings. But a ten-minute question and answer session? That is absurd.
A productive dialogue could not possibly take place in such a short time.
If more time is made available for the public to develop views and arguments then, and only then, will they feel more inclined to attend.
The council is more likely to achieve active participation if this can be arranged.
Geo Price,
Lahn Drive,
Droitwich Spa.
