AN attempted murder in North Wales may hold more clues to the death of a man found decapitated in a Rednal park, police have said.
Police investigating the linked murders of Julian Sanders and his workmate Colin Foulkes, say they are also liaising with the force in north Wales following the arrest of a man for attempted murder.
Shrewsbury man Julian Sanders was found beheaded in Cofton Park by an elderly man walking his dog on May 29 last year.
His workmate at the Atlas Foundry in Shrewsbury, Colin Foulkes, was discovered dead from massive head injuries in Shropshire woodland near his home on May 14.
North Wales Police arrested a man in Bala on Saturday, May 12 for an attack on his mother. He was remanded in custody by Bangor Magistrates and is expected to appear for trial this week.
A spokesman for West Mercia Constabulary, which is leading the joint investigation into the murders, said: "We are liaising closely with North Wales Police, but cannot comment further at this stage." He confirmed the murders of the two foundry workers had now been officially linked.
