PRESIDENT Jennie Cox opened the May meeting on May 9.
Birthday cards were distributed for Jennie Simpson and Marian Collins.
Volunteers were recruited to help with removal of chairs and crockery for the closure for renovation of the village hall.
The June 13 and July 11 meetings will be at the Three Parishes Hall, Grafton Flyford 7-10pm.
The draw for the bursary was carried out and Olwen Stanley was first with Anne Edger reserve.
Gill Blackband and Kath Cresswell will attend the New Speakers Evening at Hallow.
Travel arrangements were made for the visit to the Swan Theatre on June 19 to see Me and My Girl.
The outing on August 22 will be to Lightwood Cheeses Farmhouse at Cotheridge, near Bromyard, at £4 a head.
Delice Bayliss will be holding the WI coffee morning in aid of the Cobalt Unit, Cheltenham, at her home in Stock Green on June 27.
There will be cake and craft stalls from 10.30am-noon.
The demonstration by the visiting speaker, Mrs Cynthia Ho, was a new craft called encaustic art.
This was painting in wax and using heated irons onto a card, with smaller details completed with a soldering iron.
The competition was won by Betty Curthoys.
The next meeting on June 13 will include a talk on The Lighter side of Policing. The competition is for a blue flower arrangement.
