A "HAPPY and friendly" Fairfield playgroup chalked up top class marks after a visit from education watchdogs.
OFSTED inspectors visited Fairfield Pre-School, based at the village hall, in Stourbridge Road, and said there had been "good" improvement since the last visit with children making good progress.
The report said: "The children all arrive happily and are eager to find out what they will be doing in the session."
Youngsters also "show interest and excitement in all the activities".
Experts noted teaching was between good and very good and the resources and accommodation are both used very effectively.
Co-chairwomen of the pre-school's parent-run committee, Clare Dunlop, said: "We value the dedication and hard work of our staff members and are confident our children are being provided with a high quality of pre-school provision."
