A FITNESS fanatic from Rubery is set to get in a spin to raise cash for a charity which is close to her heart.
Lucy Cole has enlisted the help of 21 of her friends at Greens Health and Fitness Club, at Birmingham's Great Park.
They plan to take part in a four-hour sponsored session on spin-cycles -- special exercise bikes which have different levels to simulate going up hills and sprinting.
All cash raised will go towards Cancer Research which Lucy chose because her mum, Jacqueline Keegan, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The four hours will include games and activities which can be carried out on the bikes to keep the party interested.
Some have chosen to make up pairs so they only have to do two hours of the gruelling task.
Lucy said: "We are all going out afterwards but I think we will be doing a lot of sitting down."
The event runs from 2pm to 6pm this Saturday, May 26.
If you want to pop along to watch them sweat it out and make a donation, buckets will be on the gym's reception desk.
