A PLANNING chief hopes to resolve concerns about the final three phases of a £60 million redevelopment planned for Kidderminster town centre.
Wyre Forest District Council's head of planning and environment Jake Berriman will meet developers Centros Miller to discuss his concerns about the project's attractiveness and workability.
Mr Berriman had recommended detailed plans for phases two, three and four, which already have outline permission, should be refused so the developers could resubmit them after further talks.
Members of the council's planning (development control) committee agreed to defer the application until after Mr Berriman's meeting on Monday.
Demolition work on the long-awaited scheme, which should be completed by Christmas next year, is nearing completion.
A new £1.5 million bus station opens at the end of the month and work has started on building a Tesco supermarket and realigning the River Stour.
Future phases include the conversion of historic buildings and the committee gave listed building consent for refurbishment at Slingfield Mill, a yarn mill built in 1860, and the boiler house and mill chimney, built in 1864.
