VILLAGE halls could soon be benefiting from a new scheme that aims to bring professional entertainers to small venues across Gloucestershire.
Arts in Rural Gloucestershire (Air in G) helps to reduce the risk of promoting an artistic event by providing entertainers at a fraction of their usual cost.
The remainder of the fee is paid back only if the performance makes enough money.
Organiser Ed O'Driscoll explained: "Now we've taken away the usual financial concerns, we hope promoters across the county will take advantage of this fantastic opportunity."
The scheme offers a wide range of theatre, music and comedy, as well as performers like Isla St Clair and Sheridan Morley.
All six district councils and Gloucestershire County Council support Air in G which also receives substantial Lottery funding.
