A WATER and sewage treatment company based in Kidderminster has landed a £10 million contract to design and build a wastewater treatment plant in Chile.
Purac Ltd, which won the contract with a joint bid with Chilean partner Icafal, beat off competition from four other shortlisted international firms to win the contract.
The client, Esval, provides water and wastewater services to 1.3 million inhabitants. The plant will be built at Quillota, near Valparaiso, in the south of the country.
Sensitivity to environmental issues was a key element in the design which is due to be realised by next November.
