Members welcomed David Maguire of Cannock Photographic Society who gave a print lecture entitled Let's Talk Composition.
Newly elected chairman, Ian Costain, was awarded prizes for the best slide panel at the Birmingham, Hall Green and Kings Heath Photographic Society's annual competition with It's a Dog's Life, a collection of slides of sheepdogs.
Two other members, Jim Marks and Dave Hughes, also had panels accepted for the competition. Entries were from throughout Britain and it was judged by local celebrities Sue and H Keeling who are well known to the club.
There are only a few meetings left for this season: Slide of the Year, Print of the Year and the Annual Dinner and Awards Night, but the new season will start in September with a recorded lecture.
Meetings are held on Monday evenings at 8pm at the Baxter Church.
