THE continuation of the hunters' ranting and ravings (You Say, May 10) does not alter the fact that the quarry species' suffering is grotesque.
As monitors, we witness the depths to which human beings sink in the name of sport
Recently, we had two foxes subjected to post mortems. They were young vixens and one was pregnant. They died due to a combination of dog bites and beatings, their spines were broken, and their ribs smashed. There were extensive lacerations to the abdomen.
The horrible deaths that these once beautiful animals endured is stomach-churning and any amount of sanitising by the bloodsports brigade to try and beguile the public does not change the circumstances in which these animals die.
