Evesham C 25,
Cookies 18
EVESHAM returned to winning ways last week, when they won their first match of the new summer season.
Both teams made a slow start and goals were few and far between.
By half time, however, Evesham had picked up the pace and led by ten goals, mainly down to their ever developing attacking force.
In the final quarter, though, Cookies staged a gutsy revival and pressed Evesham hard to hold on to their lead, which they did, to win by seven goals.
The C team has seen many new young players introduced to the team and 19-year-old Lucy Taylor, who played wing attack for the first time, was rewarded for her excellent efforts by being voted player of the match.
Evesham B 52, Scot Transformers 33
A MUCH improved show from the B team saw them lead from the start and never look like losing.
The opposition did keep the Evesham defenders on their toes but they were in no mood to relinquish their grip on the game.
Sarah Wansborough was named player of the match
