Roy stands for lower council tax. As a local chartered accountant, running a well-established family practice in Kidderminster, he has a wealth of local business knowledge.
He says a 45 per cent increase in Wyre Forest council tax over the last four years of Labour-Lib Dem mismanagement cries out for the skills which he possesses.
He is one of the Conservative Party's many businessmen asked to stand and help sort out the county's finances after four wasted years.
He says: "I stand to defend our local schools from Labour's destruction, especially in the light of their Redditch review which closed nine local schools, ripping the heart out of the local community."
He adds that he will ensure that any Wyre Forest review is undertaken sensitively and with the right outcome to avoid similar problems.
