Simon has lived in Kidderminster for 25 years. He went to university and achieved an honours degree in politics.
He works as a representative for a public services trade union.
He is a governor at St George's First School and chairman of Wyre Forest Child Centre.
Simon believes that the system for allocating Government grants for services within Worcestershire is unfair and does not reflect Kidderminster's needs.
He is campaigning for: improved funding for local schools; "safer routes to school" schemes to encourage more children to walk, cycle or go by bus; increased spending on road maintenance and repairs; better care for the elderly and vulnerable people; and a youth offending team in Kidderminster to reduce youth crime.
Simon says: "If elected I will hold weekly advice sessions because I believe that councillors can lose touch with local people otherwise".
Simon is the only candidate to live locally in Greenhill.
