Wyre Forest District Council leader Mike Oborski is defending the county council seat he has held since 1973 - now with the extra support of Health Concern's Richard Taylor.
Mike's priorities are: restoring accident and emergency and acute services at Kidderminster Hospital; preventing any ongoing attempt to site an incinerator in Kidderminster; increased Government funding for local schools to bring us up to the funding level of other counties; decent services for the elderly, sick and disadvantaged; more Police "on the beat" - tackling crime, vandalism, nuisance and drug abuse; getting potholes filled, roads resurfaced and traffic-calming where it is needed; the "clean-up" campaign to tackle litter, mess and dog fouling; high quality town centre development with a cinema for Kidderminster; better bus services and improved rail links; and opposing Labour plans for massive industrial development east of Offmore.
