Married to Kathleen and having an adult daughter, Jim currently runs two businesses in the Black Country.
Originally from Cambridge, they settled in the centre of Stourport seven years ago and he says: "I love the place, the people are so genuine, but I don't understand why the county authorities serve Stourport so badly.
"The hospital and incinerator situations stem directly from Labour decisions, so we need to elect independent free-thinking commonsense people to County Hall and other policy groups.
"I admire Dr Richard Taylor's remarkable stand and campaign for Wyre Forest people and want to assist him from inside the county council while helping any residents consulting me with problems.
"If elected, I will work, with others, for improvements in social services, education funding, law and order, waste management and leisure areas".
