MALVERN Town will have five representatives in the final Worcestershire FA Youth Squad of the season.
A 17-man squad has been named by manager Colin Shepherd for the Midland Counties Youth Championship derby clash with Herefordshire on Sunday (May 27) at Bromyard Town's ground, kick off 2pm.
Worcestershire (from): Jonathan Matthews (Kidderminster Harriers), Gordon Beauchamp, Lee Goodman, Steve Hancocks, Matthew Stock, Justin Pugh (all Worcester City), Adrian Hipkins (Bewdley Town), Chris Edwards (Archdales), David Fortnam (Stourbridge), Mark Rollins (Feckenham), Barry McLean, Richard Jones, Adam Simpson, Salman Saffary, Michael Cole (all Malvern Town), Eddie McIntosh (Alvechurch), Dave Radford (Pershore Town).
Town assistant manager Richard Anson said: "The club and the players should be justifiably proud of these selections, particularly when you consider the competition we face from the likes of Worcester City and Kidderminster Harriers.
"It certainly suggests that we are still running the club on the right lines and proves what opportunities there are for youngsters who get involved with us.
"Without doubt, if we are able to develop the club along the lines we want, then it makes you wonder what we can achieve and, at the same time, put back into the community."
