PART of the Festival of Britain came to Malvern 50 years ago, with what the Malvern Gazette proudly proclaimed to be the "first exhibition of colour transparencies to be held in the country".
Arranged by the Photographic and Cine Society, the show was held in the public library.
An official from the Festival of Britain, Mr Parry-Billings, had travelled all the way from London to open the exhibition which showcased the work of photographers from Malvern and beyond.
