KIDDERMINSTER band Starling are hoping to take flight this summer with gigs across Wyre Forest and beyond.
They will be winging their way to Scotland for a mini-tour at the end of July with native band Walters Ego, formed by Kevin Devine and Ronnie Harris, who were founder members of Kidderminster's The Fleet. Ryan Jordan (lead guitar), Baron Webb (vocals, rhythm guitar), Steve White (drums) and Keith Bennett (bass, vocals).
But the group, which formed a year ago, have also lined up performances closer to home to follow up recent sell-out gigs at Kidderminster's Tap House and across Birmingham.
They will be at Drummond's in Worcester on June 13, Jackson's in Kidderminster on July 7, the Tap House on July 15 and Stourbridge's The Mitre on July 20.
They have produced their first demo CD, containing favourites Nothing To Gain and Who Put Bella In The Witch Elm, and are set to go back into the studio later in the summer.
