Bransford Golf Club professional Craig George was one of the 12 qualifiers from the PGA Midlands Region for the Glenmuir Club Professional Championship.
He and other top finishers will now head for Ireland next month when they will be chasing the top prize of almost £10,000 in the 72-hole Glenmuir Championship at County Louth Golf Club.
Craig, aged 32, finished two shots behind the winner Phil Hinton of Chesterton Valley, on a three-over 75 in poor conditions.
"The course at Redditch was very wet and it rained most of the day with thundery showers so we were all trying to just get round," said Craig who has been at Bransford GC for seven years.
"I made a good start with birdies on the second and third that settled me down and although I dropped a few shots later I knew if I kept going with steady play I would do alright."
Craig now heads for Ireland for the three-day championship on June 12, the second year running that he has qualified.
THE Chase golfers, Sam Kenward and Paul Yorke represent Worcestershire in National Champion-ships at Chesterfield GC next week.
Kenward took first place in the Worc Schools Champion-ships at Puckrup Hall earlier this month when The Chase team of Paul Yorke, Sam Kenward and Jamie Dunster won the County title.
