MALVERN Magic Basketball Club are celebrating after receiving a donation of £200 from Quest Communications.
The cheque was presented to the club by company director Lesley Branagh last weekend and the money will be used for new balls and equipment.
Club coach James Davey is very pleased with the way the children are developing their skills and is looking forward to continuing the work with assistant coach Adam Troop.
Several of the older children will have the opportunity tomorrow (Saturday) to have a coaching session with England coaches at University College Worcester. The club has forged links with the University and are avid fans of the Worcester Wolves Basketball team.
The club secretary Diane Sutherland said that it is important for the children to see the game played at higher levels so they can aspire to play the game in the same way.
Anyone interested in the club should contact the Club Secretary, Diane on (01684) 892459.
