A WORCESTER nightclub promoter hopes to make a fashion statement when a charity fund-raiser hits the dance floors.
Tramps nightclub, in Angel Place, is organising a fashion show to raise cash for Acorns Children's Hospice's city project.
On Wednesday, May 30, at 7.30pm, the nightclub is teaming up with the Arcadia group of shops, the Toni and Guy hair salon and local radio station Wyvern FM.
A stream of models will be parading the spring and summer fashions, showing a range of clothes available in the Arcadia stores.
These include Top Shop, Top Man, Dorothy Perkins, Warehouse, Evans, Wallis and Burton.
"It's a fun look at fashion with a party atmosphere," said Lisa Porter of Tramps promotions team.
"We got together to do this as a showcase for Arcadia but we also wanted to raise money as well.
"Acorns wants to target a younger age group for fund-raising and this was a good way of doing it."
Fashion Mania, as it has been called, will feature professional models, members of Worcester Rugby Club's Academy, while Lexy from Wyvern FM is doing the choreography.
"It's not going to be a fashion show where you just sit and watch, we want people to take part by dancing," said Miss Porter.
"It's going to be a hands-on experience."
Tickets for the event, which is open to over-18s only, are priced at £3 pre-paid or £4 on the door.
This includes entry into the club once the show has finished and three prize draws.
Toni & Guy is offering a £150 makeover and Top Shop is giving away a £50 voucher. Tramps is also giving away free entry into the club on a Wednesday night for a year.
* If you present this article when purchasing a pre-paid ticket at any of the mentioned Arcadia stores for the Fashion Mania event at Tramps you will receive one free drink voucher per ticket.
The article offer is only valid for pre-paid tickets.
It is not valid for tickets bought on the door on Wednesday, May 30.
