HEREFORDSHIRE have suffered a double fitness blow ahead of their opening Minor Counties Championship Western Division clash with champions Dorset, which starts at Bournemouth tomorrow.
Skipper Harshad Patel and batsman Rob Hughes have both failed fitness tests on thumb and finger injuries respectively, so Richard Hall and Ravi Nagra are both drafted in.
In a new format this season, each county will play six three-day matches.
So far this season Herefordshire have played two one-day games, beating Gloucestershire CB in the Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy but losing to Wales in the ECB 38 County Cup.
Herefordshire (from): Boroughs, Cooper, Shaw, Davies, Humphries, Thomas, Dawood, Edwards, Round, Prabhu, Hall, Nagra.
Meanwhile, Worcestershire Cricket Board open their ECB 38 County Cup group matches tomorrow when they take on Wales.
The match has been switched to Barnt Green from Kidderminster's Chester Road ground.
