I REFER to J Wood's letter (Evening News, May 16).
If, as J Wood says, 97 per cent of farmers support barbaric sport of killing our wildlife with dogs, then can I just ask if they have they learnt nothing from the evils our animals face due to a lack of compassion in farming?
If farmers had any compassion, they would value all life and not leave it up to animal welfare organisations to pick up the pieces and expose farming for what it truly is - and the public would not then have to keep paying the price for this industry's cruel mistakes.
