IT is with much sadness that I read about the demise of Worcester Carnival.
Between 1978-1999 I was part of the 5th Halifax Boys Brigade and lately the Anchormen Drum & Bugle Corps. Many hundreds of young people from the Halifax area travelled down to lead the procession through your beautiful city for 22 years.
Worcester Carnival was by far the largest carnival we played. During our visits to Worcester we were always guests of the 1st Worcester Boys & Girls Brigade at Bromyard Road, Methodist Church.
The whole event was co-ordinated by Mike Dandy, Captain of the 1st Worcester and committee member of the Carnival. We have many happy memories.
