I'LL bet H Ray and the rest of his/her "animal funsters" had a darn good laugh at the cheap jibe aimed at Anita Knittel, (You Say, May 15) referring to her as "A Woman of No Importance" over her views and endeavours to ban hunting with dogs.
I know nothing of Ms Knittel herself, but have followed the debate in this newspaper with great interest and can only admire her passion and commitment to her cause. Her kind of courage outsmarts a million insults and sniggers from the pro-hunting lobby, any day.
The "act" of hunting with dogs is a senseless and cowardly way to despatch a fellow creature in pursuit of amusement, with not one scrap of honour to be had by anyone at the final kill.
GERRY KING,
Worcester.
