FINE bowling from Kevin Cooper put Herefordshire in a good position on the opening day of their Minor Counties Championship Western Division clash with Dorset at Bournemouth.
The former Notts seamer took 5-57 to help bowl out the champions for 272 in their first innings, a total that relied heavily on opener Matt Swarbrick's fine 149.
Nathan Round hit an unbeaten 50 as Herefordshire closed on 86-1 in reply.
