NORTHWICK Manor Infants School, in Worcester, could be enlarged if permission is given tomorrow.
County councillors have been asked to approve extensions to the Northwick Road school that would allow a three-classroom block to be built.
The single-storey unit to the west of the main buildings would replace two temporary classrooms.
Meanwhile, the county council intends to enclose a courtyard in the middle of the school site, to form a library and information technology area.
County councillors visited the site on Thursday, May 17.
Worcester City Council has not objected to the extension proposals, but is unhappy about the idea of construction vehicles entering from the north-eastern corner of the school boundary.
Ten letters from objectors had been received by the end of last week.
One claimed: "At 3.15pm each day there is traffic chaos with various minor accidents. It is only a matter of time before a child or parent is killed."
The county council's planning and regulatory committee will debate the issue at 10am tomorrow.
