A FORMER flamenco dressmaker has joined Malvern Theatres as fundraising manager.
Hilary Philpott began working as a theatrical costumiere in London before moving to Seville in Spain.
She has also worked for charities as a celebrity co-ordinator and corporate fundraising manager, taking on responsibility for national events such as the Henley Royal Regatta Charity Ball and Women of the Year lunch, held at the Savoy in London.
Mrs Philpott has also fronted the Brick Lane Music Hall in the capital's East End, where she co-ordinated theatre administration, corporate management, human resource management, fundraising and corporate events.
"To be in a position to unite the two main areas of my experience, corporate fund-raising and theatre, together with working with an enthusiastic and dedicated team is a truly enviable position," she said.
"Malvern Theatres provides this area with the best drama and touring productions that are on offer anywhere in the UK."
