THE daffodils around Redditch were lovely except for some areas of weak and sickly blooms, such as those on the verge of Ipsley Church Lane.
Again, within a week of the flowers going over, they had their leaves mown off.
People who operate mowers should be told bulbs need at least six weeks after flowering with the leaves untouched to build up food for the following year.
