SAM the orphaned cat has found a new home thanks to the Redditch Advertiser.
An elderly woman in the Redditch area responded to the call after it was reported Sam's owner had died in a tragic accident.
The 12-year-old moggy has had to wait more than three months at Wythall Animal Sanctuary for a new owner after fears that Sam would never be re-homed again.
"We've had quite a number of inquiries following the story on the front page of the Advertiser," said Patricia Bernie, from the animal sanctuary.
"Our fear was that Sam would have to stay at the sanctuary so we were thrilled to get her another home."
