NOISY neighbours could soon be silenced with the help of environment experts who are lending an ear to harassed householders.
Residents who are being driven up the wall by rock music playing at all hours or yapping dogs, can seek advice at a forthcoming clinic.
Wychavon District Council's environmental health team is hosting three sessions to coincide with National Noise Action Day, on June 6.
Staff brimming with information are visiting Wychavon One Stop Shop, on Tuesday June 5.
Last year the authority dealt with more than 500 complaints relating to noise.
A Wychavon environmental health officer, Charlotte Landeg, said: "Noise can be very disruptive and distressing.
"Our capacity to make noise is increasing and nuisance is connected to a lower tolerance of noisy neighbours, lack of communication and greater insistence for quiet.
"During the summer we are more likely to be aware of noisy neighbours.
"Windows are left open and we use our gardens more.
"With the warmer weather fast approaching we feel this was a good time to offer help."
Where necessary, council employees can discuss legal and procedural steps to making a formal complaint.
The clinic runs from 9am to 4pm.
