COUNTY-WIDE agricultural workers have welcomed the return of farmers' markets in Droitwich Spa.
A variety of rural produce will be on sale in the High Street this Saturday.
The foot and mouth crisis had halted the popular events.
But Worcestershire Farmers' Market Group and market operator E G Skett and Company have got the all clear to put the events back on the calendar.
Farmers' market chairman Ian Hannington said: "The past few months have been very difficult for farmers and food producers.
"The return of the markets is good news for consumers and sellers alike.
"Shoppers can buy traceable foods, direct from the producer and also support the farming industry.
"The foot and mouth outbreak and the way the disease spread, demonstrates the importance of selling food close to the source of production."
This Saturday, from 9am to 3pm, there will be a tempting range of poultry, meat, vegetables, fruit juices, herbs, eggs and cakes on sale.
