GREAT Alne's poor start to the season continued with a defeat against Chipping Camden.
After last week's loss on a poor wicket at Henley, there were no excuses and captain Craig Millard pointed the finger at his underachieving batsmen.
"Our bowling and fielding is ok but we are just not scoring runs.
"We would like to recruit someone but at this stage of the season the best players are committed."
But Millard hopes to throw in two new additions as his side attempt to pull clear of the bottom of Cotswold Two in Saturday's basement battle at Alveston (2pm start).
Former Stratford thirds bat Sam Hale will be hoping to boost the run rate and will be joined in the side by Studley youngster Lee Jackson.
Batsman Lee Styler is the only absentee through family commitments.
The Henley Road club holds an open day on Sunday with Kwik Cricket and entertainments in a bid to raise funds for the youth section.
The fun starts at 11am and Alcester High take on Alcester Grammar for a trophy.
