ASTWOOD Bank won the toss and put Cookley into bat on a good pitch.
Bowes picked up a key wicket, their overseas player but Cookley made steady progress with Bank finding it hard to concentrate.
J Summers was the pick of the bowlers, taking five wickets and Bowes also chipped in with three wickets.
Cookley ended on 221 all out.
In reply, Astwood Bank started badly, losing Jagielski in the first over.
Clarke came to the wicket with positive intent and promptly set about the Cookley bowling.
Astwood Bank's batting continued positively, with everyone contributing, notably S Clarke 57, S Churchley 63 and P Boycott 59 not out.
Astwood Bank reached the winning target with three overs to spare and five wickets in hand. This result keeps Astwood Bank at the top of Division 2 of the Worcestershire League.
Astwood Bank 2nds lost after totalling 241.
D Evans 101 not out. Good batting by Cookley saw them to the win but good batting by Bank bodes well for the future.
