COOKHILL were at home against Alvechurch & Hopwood in a keenly-fought contest.
Batting first, Cookhill were all out for 149 with significant contributions from the middle order of Rob Williams 33, Nick Charles 34 and Richard McCracken 39.
Alvechurch & Hopwood batted well and either side were in with a chance of winning until the last couple of overs.
Despite a fine spell of guileful spin from Paul Williams (4-20 off 6) and aggressive pace from Richard Dunn (3-42 off 17) Cookhill could not get the elusive final wicket and maximum points.
Alvechurch & Hopwood played tactically at the end to secure a well-earned draw.
