TEENAGE speedster Stefan Hodgetts is looking for a move into Formula Renault after failing to find a drive in the Formula Ford Zetec Championship.
The Headless Cross teenager was left high and dry by his Sweeney Hopper Racing team after starting the series.
The 18-year-old was hoping for an alternative drive but has turned his attentions to the Renault series after drawing a blank.
Norfolk-based Paston Racing have offered Hodgetts a drive in the championship after he competed successfully for them in the Formula Vauxhall series.
But he has been told he will have to provide his own sponsors and needs around £70,000 to complete the rest of the championship.
Hodgetts tested with the team with promising results and kept his hand in with 12th place in a Formula Renault European Cup race on the Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone.
He is in talks with an unnamed major sponsor.
