ALCESTER'S Northfield League team continued their good run with a comprehensive home win over Warstock by a massive 75 shots.
With seven out of eight winners, John Alderson led the way with 21-5, Ken Harvey and Renny Bannister both 21-6, Terry Rawlings 21-7 and Chris Hollins completing the rout with 21-8.
This win should keep Alcester on top of their league.
In the Heart of England League Alcester A secured an impressive home win over arch rivals Tanworth.
Again John Alderson had the best card with 21-8 but Keith Bryan turned on the style with 21-11 and Peter Barber 21-15.
The remainder were all tight games, but with six overall winners, Alcester came out on top.
The B team, found life difficult in their visit to Tanworth B.
They could only manage two winners, Ron Hawksley 21-13 and Garrick Williams 21-14 as they went down overall by 51 shots.
The B team did come safely though the first round of their cup competition against Greet, but by the narrow margin of three shots.
The away four lost by 12 overall, with Gordon Lycett again turning in a good 21-12 card.
The four home team members, however, won by 15 shots, with Dee Roberts an impressive form, 21-6 and Eric Laight 21-13.
