A CHEEKY thief took more than 50 plant pots and ornaments from homes in Crabbs Cross before decorating a roundabout with the loot.
Police and residents were left angry and baffled by the string of thefts in the early hours of Saturday.
More than one hour of police time was spent clearing up the roundabout at the top of Rough Hill Drive.
Pc Richard Waterhouse said: "Most of the people now have their items back."
He added: "It was probably somebody's birthday and it was done as a practical joke. But is has caused a lot of upset and distress to a lot of people and it was dangerous because people were running across the island to get the stuff back."
