THE refuse disposal site serving Droitwich Spa lies two miles from the town along the Stratford Road.
There is no public transport to this site so cars and vans are the mode of preference, and for the past three weeks some 70 vehicles have sat locked in a carbon monoxide snake in a vain attempt to off-load the carefully sorted planet-saving commodities.
You know the sort of thing: green, brown and clear glass, card, and heavy metal, not to mention paperbacks, paint and paper.
But all this careful recycling surely counts for nought if the atmosphere collects the outpourings of such a slow running convoy (in my case, 30 minutes before off loading on every visit).
