THERE was a good audience on May 16 for demonstrator Mrs Vera Devey.
Vera, who is also treasurer at the club, give a splendid series of exhibits.
She is City & Guilds qualified and her title for the afternoon was 'Home Grown'.
She showed how even novice members could take readily available materials and turn them into very creditable displays.
A well-earned vote of thanks was given by Mrs Jean Whitehouse and the chairman, Mrs Wendy Twist, reminded the meeting that in order to remain financially viable, the club needed to recruit more members.
Meetings take place on the third Wednesday of the month at Wythall Village Hall at 2pm.
The next meeting is on June 20, when the demonstrator will be Mrs Elizabeth Nicholdson.
The afternoon is entitled 'Ring the Changes', the theme for the members' competition 'Window Box' and the style envisaged 'Continental'.
