CUP-CHASING Chaddesley Corbett progressed to the fourth round of the National Village Championships with a 10-wicket win over Feckenham on Sunday.
Sent in to bat, Worcestershire League Division Two side Feckenham raced to 72-1 in the 13th over.
But their last nine wickets fell for just 32 in the space of 15 overs as accurate pace bowling from Andy Elbro (4-16) ruined the Feckenham innings.
Dave Perry also bowled well and finished with 3-4 from three overs.
Chaddesley openers Matt Boden and Kevin Truswell passed 115 in 26 overs to set up a area semi-final with either Old Luctonians or Garnons who knocked out Cookley.
Feckenham 115, Chaddesley Corbett 116-0.
Chaddesley's disappointing start to the Worcestershire League Division One campaign continued on Saturday when Old Elizabethans beat them by seven wickets.
Despite posting their highest score for two seasons and a century from Mark Edwards, Chaddesley were well beaten by the early season pace-setters from Worcester.
Having been sent in to bat, Chaddesley lost John Riches in the 13th over, run out with the score on 19.
Edwards joined captain Boden in a partnership which yielded 138 in 24 overs.
Edwards reached his 100 in the 42nd over from 84 balls but after he went for 106, the last eight overs produced 51 to give Chaddesley a total of 244-6.
Unfortunately, Edwards could not reproduce the same form with the ball and the score reached 89 before the first wicket fell to Riches in the 14th over.
Chaddesley tried seven different bowlers but Grove was in fine form and his 79 took the game away from Chaddesley.
When OEs passed Chaddesley's score, six overs remained.
Chaddesley Corbett 244-6, Old Edwardians 245-3.
Chaddesley's seconds are second from bottom in their division after a losing draw against Old Elizabethans.
The home side made a big 258-3 and Chaddesley held on 29 runs short.
R Teague scored 50 not out and S Glover 42.
