IT WAS a mixed day for Cookley in Division Two of the Worcestershire League with two high-scoring affairs.
The firsts were beaten by five wickets in a crucial clash with leaders Astwood Bank.
But the seconds completed a fine seven-wicket victory over the same club.
The first 11 were in a strong position with Robbie Perkins' 79 helping the side to post a total of 221, also aided by 39 from Marcus Jones.
But Astwood Bank reached home with five wickets to spare to emerge worthy winners.
A couple of missed half-chances midway through the Astwood innings proved critical.

The seconds looked to have a tough task on their hands chasing Astwood Bank's total of 241-6.
But Cookley made light of the task, thanks to a fine unbeaten century by Lee Shewry (127 not out) and 78 not out from John Martin.
