WEDDING bells are in the air for a Kidderminster man who found love through the personal columns of the Shuttle/Times and News.
David Rushforth, 51, a general sales manager with Bristol Babcock Ltd, Stourport, answered an ad in the 'Two's Company' section placed by Lin Taylor, 49, of Stourbridge. Lin Taylor, 49, and David Rushforth, 51, who are getting married this August.
He said: "I have never phoned up before. I can't remember what caught my eye. It might have been the similar age or situation - we both have kids from previous relationships.
"It's strange because she said she liked the countryside and animals and that's not me at all. But we instantly clicked and that was that.
"Things just took off."
Now the couple, who met last August, are planning to get married and hold their reception at Stone Manor, Stone, on Sunday August 5.
Lin, whose advert in the Shuttle/Times & News, attracted 37 replies, said: "I did not realise there were so many people of my age who were on their own."
But she said it was difficult for people who were older to meet prospective partners - "You can't just go into the local disco."
She said Two's Company had given her the chance to find someone who was right for her. "I'm over the moon," she added.
