A DOG expert will judge a prestigious international show in Stourport despite being hurt in a horrific car crash.
Bob Brampton, who suffered broken ribs in the accident while judging in the Ukraine two weeks ago, will judge entries in next month's Royal International Exemption Dog Show.
The eighth annual event will take place at Riverside Meadows on Sunday, June 10, featuring pedigree, novelty and crossbreed classes, as well as import and rare breed rally and a german shepherd rally. The main attraction is the King Hussein of Jordan Memorial Trophy, named after the late royal who donated £4,000 to the show in its early days.
All proceeds from the event go to Birmingham-based Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Mr Brampton was hurt when his car hit a tree after an overhead power cable collapsed. His wife Natalia will judge the novelty section. Entries will be on the field from 10.30am while judging begins at noon. More information on the event is available by calling organiser Val Coomby on 01384 863122.
